The Story Behind Our Creation

In 2004, Dr. Moore opened his practice in Elkhart, Indiana, eager to provide quality care to his community. But soon after hiring new APPs, he realized there was a problem: there was no formal system to train them in dermatology, a specialty that requires precision and expertise. Determined to ensure his team could confidently diagnose and treat patients, Dr. Moore became passionate about dermatology education. Over the next decade, he dedicated himself to refining his training approach, personally mentoring and guiding over 20 APPs along the way. Seeing the positive impact on his practice, he realized that many other practices were facing the same challenge—and so, he decided to share his system with others, making these training programs available to APPs, Physicians, and practices who could benefit from them.

Dr. Roger T. Moore, Board Certified Dermatologist and founder of DermacenterMD, is a prominent figure in dermatology, specializing in skin cancer treatment, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, general dermatology, and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. As the dermatology clinical director at Indiana University Medical School, he educates medical providers and students, hosts rotations, and has conducted research in medical dermatology and cosmetic procedures. With a commitment to continuous learning, Dr. Moore holds diplomate status with the American Board of Dermatology, fellow status with the American Academy of Dermatology, and is a member of various medical associations. He is dedicated to advancing dermatologic care through cutting-edge technology and improving overall service quality by educating professionals across specialties.
